Conventional soft contact lenses may be an option to correct your vision. We are happy to assess and discuss your candidacy at your comprehensive exam. It is important to remember that soft contact lenses are still considered a medical device and should be treated as such to prevent eye infection and injury to the eye. Soft lenses should be removed nightly and cleaned and stored in a multipurpose solution such as Bio-True, Opti-Free and Clear Care (hydrogen-peroxide base solution). We advise that you do not sleep, swim or shower in your lenses as water increases the risk of eye infection. It is also important to thoroughly clean and dry your hands before handling lenses. Soft contact lenses may be able to correct myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia depending on the strength of your prescription and shape of your eye.
